Jeffrey "Ding" Stansberry, Auctioneer, StanRich Auctions
Partner
Jeffrey “Ding” Stansberry has been involved in the auction
business for 20 years. He has conducted auctions in
several industries including real estate, automobiles,
purebred livestock and a number of benefits and
foundations. Stansberry has successfully conducted
auctions in different facets of the real estate
business. Commercial, investment, residential &
agricultural properties, as well as, multi-parcel land
auctions have been very successful for his clients. In
addition, his talents are currently utilized at weekly
wholesale automobile auctions including Manheim
Nashville, Manheim Tennessee and Paducah Auto Auction.
In September of 2005, Stansberry’s services were sought
to become a member of the auction staff at the
prestigious Keeneland Thoroughbred Auction held in
Lexington, KY. Keeneland is the largest auction of its
kind in the world generating gross annual sales receipts
in excess of $700 Million. Since January of 2006 he has
served on the auction staff of Barrett Jackson which is
billed as the promoter of the “World’s Greatest
Collector Car Events”, Barrett Jackson’s signature
auction, held in Scottsdale, Arizona, had a combined
gross of over $210,000,000 in 2006 and 2007.
To add, this native Tennessean has served as auctioneer
for a number of purebred cattle auctions each year
including calling the 70th Annual New York Angus Sale,
which is billed as the oldest continuous Angus sale in
North America. The sale, in 2005, established a new
record for the highest average per lot in the history of
the event. He was auctioneer for the ACA National in
Louisville, KY for 5 years, as well as auctions that
have been broadcast on the cable network, RFD-TV.
He has served as a broadcast personality for the
marketing firm, Strong, a Birmingham agency specializing
in franchised automotive dealer marketing. His talents
have been used in a unique commercial format that
combines the auction sound with sales promotion. This
auctioneer, with diversified auction experience, has
served and conducted auctions in 22 states and Puerto
Rico. He is the immediate past president of the Middle
Tennessee Angus Association. He holds a Bachelor of
Science degree from the University of Tennessee. He is
also a graduate of Missouri Auction School, in addition
to the Certified Auctioneer Institute in Bloomington,
IN. He and his wife, Scottie, make their home near
Nashville, Tennessee, along with their sons, Brody and
Coltyn.

Phil Richardson, StanRich Auctions Partner
Phil Richardson brings a diverse and well-rounded
background to the auction industry. Licensed since 1991,
Phil has conducted and staffed auctions in 24 states
from the Carolinas to California and numerous points in
between.
Mr. Richardson has managed numerous purebred cattle
auctions in Tennessee and his firm has had the honor of
conducting the Eastern National Salers Sale in
Louisville, KY for the past 7 years. His most satisfying
experiences are realized when measurable auction
marketing goals are realized and his contributions made
a difference.
Phil has participated in such high profile auctions as
The Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale,
AZ and Palm Beach, FL, as well as the Carlisle Collector
Car Events in Carlisle, PA. Additionally, Mr. Richardson
has staffed the National Western Angus Foundation Sale
and the National Salers Sale, both held annually in
Denver, CO.
His most recent achievement was during the 2008 National
Auctioneers Association Convention held in Nashville, TN
where Richardson became a top five finalist during the
International Ringman Championship
Mr. Richardson talents are utilized at numerous
wholesale automobile auctions on a weekly basis. In
addition to auctioneering, Phil is a partner in Richco
Management, a real estate development firm located in
his hometown. Under his direction RMI has acquired,
developed, marketed and closed multiple real estate
developments in East Tennessee. RMI also owns and
manages numerous commercial and residential rental
properties. Mr. Richardson operates Union First
Financial, a full service financial center that provides
residential mortgages, property/casualty insurance, and
life insurance. His background also encompasses several
years as a lending officer specializing in residential
real estate and auto dealer relations.
Phil is a graduate of The University of Tennessee,
Walters State Auction School and the Life Underwriters
Training Council of America. A wonderful “Home Team”
anchors Phil’s career. Phil and his wife Jama, along
with their sons, Sam and Max, live in Maynardville, TN,
just outside Knoxville, TN.

Justin Ochs |
Justin Ochs, Auctioneer, StanRich Staff and Auction
Marketing Director
Justin Ochs' talents and abilities made him a much
sought after addition to StanRich Auctions. He holds
Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University
and a Masters Degree in Event Management from Middle
Tennessee State University. His capabilities to
organize, set goals, manage tasks and his passion for
the auction business make him a huge asset to StanRich.
Ochs' diverse work experience also includes being a
successful and sought after announcer for both
shows and auctions on a national level. His voice has
been heard at such events as; the AQHA World
Championship in Oklahoma City, the All American Quarter
Horse Congress in Columbus, OH, the AQHA Select World
Championship in Amarillo, Texas, the All American
Reigning Futurity in Las Vegas and countless other
events.
Justin now serves on the auction staff and is an
announcer for Barrett Jackson "The World's Greatest
Collector Car Event" in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Ochs is also an approved Instructor for Nashville Auction School in Tullahoma, TN. His lecture topics include automobile auctions, horse auctions, and the auction chant. He also serves on the wholesale automobile auction, Manheim Nashville.
After winning the Tennessee Auctioneer's Association Rookie Bid-Calling Champion, Justin went on to compete and be named the 2009-'10 Tennessee State Champion Auctioneer.
Ochs is a graduate of the Tennessee School of Real
Estate and Missouri Auction School. Ochs has served his
auctioneer apprenticeship under the Tennessee Auctioneer
Association Hall of Famer, Jack Holbrook.
Justin and his new bride, Kelly, make their home in
Gallatin, Tennessee.

Tom Mottern |
Tom Mottern
Tom brings 46 years experience in the financial services
industry to StanRich Auctions.
A native of Johnson City, TN, Tom is a graduate of the
University of Tennessee majoring in Marketing and
Advertising and earned his degree while working fulltime
as an on-air personality at two Knoxville radio
stations. Following military service and a career in
commercial radio, he joined the Hamilton National Bank
in his hometown in 1963 as vice president for business
development and commercial lending. Named president and
CEO of the bank in 1969, Tom was appointed Tennessee’s
Commissioner of Banking in 1979 and served in that
capacity during the Alexander first term.
After a period of bank consulting which included CEO
positions at two banks, his activities in the industry
included work with credit unions located in five states
including on site supervision of a troubled institution
in Dodge City, Kansas. From 1987 until 1993 he served as
president and CEO of Mutual Guaranty Corporation located
in Chattanooga, a consulting client.
Tom finished his eclectic career with the last 15 years
spent as CEO and director of First Century Bank and as
president and director of Claiborne Holding Company in
Tazewell, Tennessee.
Always active in community affairs and his church, Tom
and his wife Marie live in Knoxville and try to keep
track of their sixteen children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren.

William McInto |
William McIntosh, Auctioneer, StanRich Marketing
Associate, Kentucky
William McIntosh hails from the scenic Bluegrass Region
of Kentucky. William grew up on the family farm where
they grew tobacco and raised cattle. His childhood was
often spent at the local sale barn listening to the
chant of the auctioneer. From a young age William was
enamored with auctions and his entire professional
career has focused on some segment of the auction
industry.
William brings over fifteen years experience to the
StanRich Team. Mr. McIntosh’s experience includes real
estate development and marketing, purebred cattle and
horse auctions, and benefit auctions. More particularly
he has managed the longest running Gelbvieh Cattle sale
in the Southeast, staffed both real estate and seedstock
sales in every region of America as well as Canada and
regularly sells at the United Produces Stockyard in
central Kentucky.
Mr. McIntosh is the former Asst. Director of Marketing
for the National Gelbvieh Association where his duties
encompassed advertising campaign sales, auction staffing
and sale management and consulting.
Finally, William majored in Ag Communications at the
University of Kentucky and holds a Kentucky Auctioneer
License.
William is anxious to assist Kentuckians in the
successful marketing of their assets through the auction
method and looks forward to building even more mutually
beneficial business relationships in the Bluegrass
state.
He makes his home near Lexington, Kentucky.

Jim Buzzell |
James A. “Jim” Buzzella, CAI, StanRich Marketing
Associate, Auctioneer & Licensed Real Estate Broker,
Florida
Jim Buzzella, CAI is an accomplished auctioneer and a
licensed real estate broker with extensive knowledge and
over 25 years of experience in the auction industry. His
primary goal is to promote the Auction Method of
Marketing as the key vehicle to convert real estate
assets into available capital.
Buzzella is a native of Miami, Florida who became
interested in the auction business when one of his
brothers expressed plans to open an auction house in
Lake City. From the moment he graduated from auction
school Jim found his calling. Over the span of his
career he has worked in a variety of venues. He is one
of three auctioneers who assist the U.S. Department of
Treasury/ U.S. Customs Auctions in Florida and Puerto
Rico. He has worked as an automobile auctioneer for a
number of corporations in Florida and Georgia and served
as a contract auctioneer for numerous real estate firms
in Florida and other states.
Jim is the instructor for the Accredited Preparatory
Auction Program at Miami Dade College. He is a 1996
graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute and the
1997 Florida State Auctioneer Champion. This life member
and former director of the Florida Auctioneers
Association is also a member of the National Auctioneers
License Law Officials Association.
Jim makes his home in Palmetto Bay, Florida.

Scott Roberts |
Scott Roberts, Auctioneer, StanRich Marketing
Associate, Georgia
Scott Roberts has been in the auction industry for 17
years. In that time he has been on the staff of many
real estate auctions, purebred livestock, wholesale
automobile, farm equipment.
Roberts hales from an active auction family and has been
involved in the auction business since the age of 10.
His family has owned and operated a purebred horse
auction in Dothan Alabama for over 35 years where his
auction career began. It is believed to be the longest
running horse auction in the state of Alabama. At the
age of 12 he was calling a portion of the sales, and he
is currently principle auctioneer for the company. Over
time Scott has conducted and/or managed many of the top
horse auctions in the country.
Scott began selling wholesale car auctions in 2003. He
currently serves as auctioneer at IAA Tifton Ga.,
Manheim Metro Atlanta Ga., IAA South Forest Park Ga.,
South Georgia Auto Auction Albany Ga., Lauderdale-Miami
Auto Auction (Ford Factory Sale) Ft. Lauderdale Fl. and
Lauderdale-Miami Auto Auction (Ford Credit Sale) Ft.
Lauderdale Fl.
Scott has also conducted many farm equipment auctions in
the state of Georgia. He currently conducts 3 antique
tractor and equipment auctions per year.
Roberts became a licensed real estate professional in
2001. He has been involved in many auctions from large
tracts of farmland to smaller residential properties.
Most recently he was involved in the sale of 1000 acres
of farmland in rural South Georgia.
Scott graduated from Missouri Auction School in August
of 1999. He currently makes his home in Moultrie,
Georgia with his wife, Kayla, and their two daughters,
Makaelyn and Addy.

Lanna Keck–Smith, Miss Tennessee 1997, StanRich Media
Personality
Lanna’s bright personality, pageantry smile and presence
are quickly becoming recognized in promoting StanRich
Auctions. This able spokesperson’s services are utilized
for television and radio advertising for StanRich and
she will be featured in upcoming marketing programs for
the auctions of StanRich, as well as, upcoming
educational “Webinars” and video web casts.
In addition to being an accomplished recording artist
and Lanna is a featured soloist for the Sevier Heights
Baptist Church Choir, which performs their Christmas
concert for thousands each Christmas season at the
University of Tennessee’s Thompson-Boling Arena.
Lanna is a blood born Volunteer of the great state of
Tennessee. Recording the very first State Southern
Gospel Anthem, which was adopted, by the House and
Senate in 2000 honored her. She served as the Governor’s
Ambassador for The Department of Education in school
systems all through the state of Tennessee. She has been
specializing in commercial insurance for over 4 years.
Lanna’s special interests include not only
singing/songwriting but also culinary/ pastry arts.
She and her husband, Eddie, make their home in
Knoxville, Tennessee with their daughter, Lauren.
